When the summer heat is peaking and the kids are craving a refreshing snack, it’s very easy to get into the habit of giving yummy popsicles and ice cream treats. Those definitely have their place (I mean it is summer after all!) but shouldn’t be the number one option on a daily basis. Although they are refreshing, they’re also full of sugar and empty calories. Today I’m sharing five snack ideas that are simple, nutritious, and equally enjoyable for kids and adults. With school just around the corner, these also make great lunchbox stuffers too!

All of these food products can be found at Trader Joes except for the Enjoy Life chocolate chips.     These are all great ideas! I know when my kids were younger, I was always looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack ideas. It helps to get some new things into the repertoire!
