Last summer my husband and I enjoyed our first, long overdue, child-free weekend getaway. We had an amazing few days in Laguna Beach and still fantasize daily about going back! Today’s #TravelTuesday post is about the famous Javier’s restaurant that we visited. I had been wanting to try this upscale Mexican restaurant for a long time and it did not disappoint!
Javier’s has five locations including three in California, one in Mexico, and one in Las Vegas. We dined at the Newport Beach spot that provides beautiful ocean views and an incredible ambiance that we really enjoyed.
The flame towers and beautiful landscaping outside prepare you for even more impressive decor inside. The restaurant is huge with tons of seating. The mix of rustic wood, mosaic windows and modern metal sculptures creates an elegant, yet super fun vibe. They serve authentic Mexican cuisine which was the best we’ve ever had, by far. Add in their top notch margaritas and you’re in for a great night.
Important note: We dined on a Saturday night and they don’t allow reservations for just two people, so we waited about 30 mins for the first available table. This was fine by me because the lounge and bar area is a total Orange County scene. I love me some people watching! They have since opened a new, closer location to me in Century City that I cant wait to visit next.
Thanks for reading! xoxo, JB
