There’s nothing better than picking fresh produce and flowers from your local farmer’s market. The food is the freshest it will ever be as it’s only traveled a short distance, as opposed to buying in the store where it may have been traveling for long periods and even from another country. My most favorite item to buy from the farmers’ markets that most people forget about are EGGS! Grabbing farm-fresh eggs within a couple days of the chicken actually laying them makes such a difference! And they last for 30 days when you get them from the farmer. Of course, we can’t forget about all the fresh fruits and vegetables either… YUM! Also, a lot of local farms have organic produce for far less than you’d pay at the grocery store.

Did you know that you can find farmer’s markets open every day of the week in some areas? It’s no longer just a weekend thing! All you have to do is google “local farmers markets” and the county or city that you’re in, and any nearby options should pop up.

Love the farmer’s market and supporting vendors that grow organic food. Nice to know about the markets out there. I used to take my kids to the pumpkin patch at Underwood Farms. So much October fun!
