Tis the season for autumn and Halloween decorating! Today I’m sharing two of the areas I decorated inside our home. This year, I didn’t want to buy anything new because I already own a lot of seasonal décor (as my husband will begrudgingly attest to… haha), but I did want to change it up. To see last year’s Halloween mantlescape post, click here. This time around, I decided to go with a more “fall” theme in our fireplace area. I’m thinking with only a few alterations in November, this décor can last me until Thanksgiving. And in another room near our front door, I found a new spot for the fun Halloween décor. My kids and I go crazy for Halloween so we of course decorated the exterior of our home too which I’ll share on the blog later this week!
Please note: you must open this post in your browser in order to see the captions under the photos, and the shopping links and widgets. I’m linking everything I can for you, but a lot of the items are sold out or are a few years old. In those cases, I linked similar items that help achieve the same effect. I hope this puts you in the Halloween spirit and gives you a little décor inspiration of your own. Please share what type of fall decorating you like to do!
SHOP THE FIREPLACE ROOM:
My pumpkin display is a mix of craft pumpkins from Michaels that I use year after year, combined with real pumpkins that have been going strong for almost a month now (I’ve only lost two so far to rotting). This year, I’ve found that the best place for Cinderella pumpkins is Trader Joes… by far the best prices!
My wreath was a great find last year from Homegoods. I haven’t been able to find anything similar to link, but Michaels has a ton of wreaths and all of their “fall” items are ON SALE FOR 70% OFF right now!! Today is the last day, so go grab your pumpkins and wreaths!
I always have a pretty glass jar full of candy corn sitting out from September through Thanksgiving because it feels so festive and gives a nice pop of color. In the shopping widget below I’ve linked up the faux fur throw, table runner, candy corn and jars, oversized mug and my outfit.
SHOP THE ENTRY ROOM DECOR:
This is my second year using these felt bats from Grandin Road and I just love them. Unfortunately they sold out pretty fast this year, but there are two non-felt options here and here that are less expensive and achieve the same effect. The black gauze fabric on the table can be used in sooo many ways and really sets the mood.
As far as the older items that I’ve been using year after year (the wood door hanger, the two jack o lanterns, wood signs, skulls, and the jar of bones)… I’ve linked all the items (or similar versions) in the shopping widget below, along with my outfit. This is my favorite color sweater for fall and is so cozy. It was a top seller last year and is back again for under $60. It also comes in black and cream. Please don’t hesitate to comment or email me with any questions you might have!
Thanks for reading and sharing! xoxo, JB

October 24, 2018 at 12:14 pmI love all of the pumkins on your fireplace!!! That is just so fun and festive! You can’t even tell the fake ones from the real ones lol. My favorite are the white pumkins and they look so good displayed at the top! I also love the halloween table you did and I have an idea of what is coming for the outside! Spooky! You always do such a great job decorating!
