Having one great summer hat that protects you from the sun AND keeps you looking fashionable is an essential in every girl’s closet. I have a few different straw hats that I’ve collected over the years, but this hat here is my favorite and I’ll tell you why… it actually fits my head perfectly!
When we shop for clothes or shoes we always look for “our size,” right? So, shouldn’t it be the same method when looking for a hat? It should… but it’s not! Most cute hats you see in stores are “one size fits all.” Well, I happen to have an incredibly small head (hahaha) so generic sizing doesn’t really work for me. In fact, for baseball caps, I often have to buy the “kids version” in order to get the perfect size! Who knew my small head could be such a problem, right?!
Target always has an adorable hat section and over the last few years I’ve gotten lucky twice by finding hats that fit just ‘good enough’. TRANSLATION: the hats still fall in my face, and blow off instantly if there’s the slightest breeze, BUT they were too cute to pass up! This year, I was determined to find myself a classic summer hat that will never go out of style and actually fit me just right. This hat comes in four different sizes (I have the XS) so you can achieve the perfect fit, and four different patterns (I have the Honey). I had to spend a little more money, but really the $44 price tag isn’t that bad when you think of how many years I’ll get out of it and how much I love it!!
Also pictured above are my favorite wedges of the season that go with everything and are SO comfortable (I sized down a ½ size for the perfect fit). These shoes come in three patterns (I have two of them) and can be found here and here. BUT they are now starting to sell out of sizes so hurry if you want to snag a pair! You can find my exact shorts here for $49 (size up 1 size for a little looser fit). I’ve linked a similar camisole here and here. And I can’t forget about this cute rattan cross-body bag for only $42. To see all of the thumbnail shopping photos, open this post in your browser and scroll to the bottom of the post.
So, I must know… do any of you have trouble finding hats because of your head size?! Let me know in the comments below. I hope I’m not the only one (ha)!
